Maple ja Macchiato ovat kaksikko aikuisia kissoja, jotka etsivät uutta loppuelämän kotia yhdessä. Vaikka he ovat asuneet ihmisten kanssa menneisyydessä, he ovat molemmat hieman ujoja ja heillä kesti aikaa totutella meihin, mutta nyt kuitenkin kävelevät rohkeasti ympäri ja kurkistelevat, että mitä ihmiset puuhaavat.

Maple on pieni naaraskissa ja on noin 7 vuotta vanha. Hänellä on valkoinen turkki jossa on oranseja läikkyjä ja vihreät silmät. Kun hän saapui meille, hän vietti suurimman osan ajastaan sohvan alla piilossa, mutta hän on rohkaistunut paljon, vaikka onkin varovainen yhä ihmisten läsnäollessa. Hän viettää suurimman osan päivästä kiipeilypuussa Macchiaton kanssa, tai napostelemassa ruokaansa.

Macchiato on uroskissa, joka on noin 5 vuotta vanha. Hänellä on suurimmilta osin valkoinen turkki, mutta hänellä on oransseja läikkyjä vähän, sekä oranssi raidallinen häntä ja vihreät silmät. Hän on energinen sekä utelias kissa, mutta nauttii myös kiipeilypuun huipussa nukkumisesta ja muiden askareiden seuraamisesta sieltä. Hän on totutellut hyvin meidän luona oloon ja oli kaksikosta ensimmäinen joka oli rohkea ihmisten ympärillä.

Maple ja Macchiato tykkäävät leikkiä paljon toistensa kanssa, muuta myös lelujen kanssa. Etenkin Macchiatolla on lempi lelu, jota hän kantaa mukanaan ympäri asuntoa välillä.

Maple ja Macchiato ovat kärsineet aiemmin pitkään tulehduksista suussa ja korvissa, joiden seurauksena molemmilta on poistettu kaikki hampaat. Tämän vuoksi he voivat syödä vain pehmeitä ruokia.

Molempien korviin on tullut tulehduksien seurauksena runsaasti pieniä polyyppeja, jotka ovat tällä hetkellä rauhallisia, mutta voivat alkaa kasvaa ja aiheuttaa kutinaa tai korvatulehdusta. Tällöin polyypit pitää poistaa. Maplellä vaikuttaa olevan hieman herkempi kuuloaisti, ja usein kääntyy Macchiaton puoleen saadakseen vinkkejä siitä mitä tapahtuu ympärillä.

Maple and Macchiato are a bonded pair of adult cats looking for a new home together. Although they have lived with people before, they are both still shy and took some time to adjust to their new environment when they came to us.

Maple is a small female cat who is about 7 years old. She has white fur with orange patches, and green eyes. When she first came to us, Maple spent most of her time hiding under the sofa. She has become more confident now, but she is still cautious when people are in the room. Maple usually spends most of the day resting at the top of the cat tree with Macchiato or nibbling her food little by little.

Macchiato is a male cat who is about 5 years old. He has mostly white fur with a few orange patches and orange stripes on his tail, and has green eyes. Macchiato is an energetic and curious cat, but enjoys napping at the top of the cat tree and watching what is going on around him. He has adjusted well and was the first one to feel confident around people.

Maple and Macchiato enjoy playing with each other a lot. Macchiato even has a favorite toy he will carry around the apartment sometimes!

Maple and Macchiato have previously suffered from long-term infections of the mouth and ears, as a result of which both cats have had all their teeth removed. Because of this, they can only eat soft food.

As a result of the ear infections, they have both had a lot of small polyps in their ears. The polyps are under control at the moment, but they could start to grow and cause itching or ear infections in the future. In this case, the polyps would have to be removed. Maple seems to have some hearing impairment and usually looks to Macchiato for cues about what is going on.

The ideal home for Maple and Macchiato would be a calm, quiet home where they are the only pets. Because they are still shy, Maple and Macchiato would do best in a family where there are only adults, or adults and older teenagers.
